Methodology/ApproachA series of participatory workshops are organized to define problems, develop research agenda and decide on research based on the partners' comparative advantage. The results are shared in the review and planning workshops, where new agenda are also developed. Ecologically based methods are evaluated through community participation. At the same time, ecological and sociological studies are carried out in the pilot sites to determine impact.
