 New management for rice developed

Scientists developed an approach whereby farmers can optimally apply essential nutrients as and when needed by their rice crop. This approach, called site-specific nutrient management (SSNM), enables farmers to apply fertilizers with the correct nutrients at the optimal amount and time to match the needs of their rice crop.

With this approach, farmers tailor and adapt their nutrient management practices to the needs of the crops in their specific fields.
