Strategic and adaptive research focuses on

Characterizing changing farmer practices, perceptions, and constraints to weed management in relation to labor, agrochemicals, and water, and awareness of integrated weed management practices.
Improved sustainable weed control, through integration of weed management options, for high productivity particularly in relation to enhanced water use efficiency, reduced herbicide use, and environment protection.
Design and testing of support systems for integrated weed management in defined agronomic production and socioeconomic domains with farmers and extension workers.
