Syon has been the Chief Operating Officer for three CGIAR centers—IRRI, IWMI, and WorldFish—since June 2023. He oversees the corporate service divisions, focusing on areas such as Human Resources, Finance, Risk, Legal, Information Systems, and more. Syon has extensive experience in strategic planning and process optimization. Previously, he served as Corporate Services Director at IWMI and WorldFish, and as Finance Director at IRRI. He has also been involved with various boards and has worked in multiple countries across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
