Rica Joy Flor
About
Dr. Rica Joy Flor is a social scientist leading multi-disciplinary projects that implement socio-technical adaptations and scaling of technologies. Her research interests are in the processes of scaling innovations, adoption of technologies, and approaches to catalyze change across various stakeholders in agriculture. Rica also examines the underlying social structures and interaction patterns that affect transitions to more sustainable agricultural systems. She completed her Ph.D. in technology and innovation studies at Wageningen University, the Netherlands.
Rica has 15 years of experience in research for development working in Cambodia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Her work supports the embedding of various innovations within agri-food systems, as well as enabling linkages between farming and the business sector to support the uptake of technologies.
