Dr. Ando Radanielson is a Senior Scientist and Project Leader specializing in greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation in rice-based systems, with extensive experience in research-for-development. She currently leads several multidisciplinary, international projects in South and Southeast Asia that focus on methane reduction, simulation modeling, and climate-smart rice management.
As Project Leader of the REMET-Rice Project, she oversees technology evaluation, rice crop modeling, the development of innovative mitigation strategies, such as microbiome-based solutions and novel pathways for low emitting varieties development. Her work spans research design, project and team management, stakeholder engagement, and scientific communication, with strong expertise in climate adaptation and mitigation, GHG quantification, and scaling low-emission rice technologies toward carbon-neutral and food-secure systems.
