Angelo Azura Jimenez is the 22nd President of the University of the Philippines (UP). He graduated in Sociology and Law from UP - Diliman and earned a master's degree in public management from the National University of Singapore. Jimenez has served as a two-time member of the UP Board of Regents, first as a Student Regent and then as a Regent, making him unique among UP presidents. He has also been a lecturer at the UP Law Center. As a legal expert, he has contributed to issues on overseas labor and global migration, working in various countries as a labor attaché and serving as a Deputy Administrator in the Department of Labor, receiving Presidential Citations for his efforts in protecting Overseas Filipino Workers.
